Rob, I wasn't by any means trying to move you into another product. I'm a firm believer that if it has been working for you don't change. Todd

Rob, Where you see what you are talking about is on the import blanks that still have the ground ferrules. They build up the tip of the butt section then grind them to fit the tip section. Todd

I would like to thank everyone who attended our event which made for a tremendously enjoyable time. While it is great to see the many old friends it is also excellent having so many new people attending each year. I also would like to thank the crew here which helped to make it so much fun for everyone and took so much weight off of my shoulders. Great to see & meet everyone and look forwar

Actually most of these blanks were brought in to provide product in a price point that would allow us to compete with the other imported blanks. The majority of them are used in our "G-200" series rods. The sales on these products have been increasing steadily as builders realize that we have them and we have quite a few models that have become quite popular for OEM rods.

Shawn, I have to say that I got a few things out of your post that you state you didn't say.........I guess Specifics apply to you but the reader is left to their imagination. While I look at production rods on a pretty regular basis, I see different levels of quality on rods. In turn, in the 18 years I have been with Lamiglas I have seen hundreds if not thousands of custom rods which maybe 10

Marty, we have had a great response to that rod model. While I haven't been monitoring the blank sales I'm sure they will be good also. This blank is extremely light and sensitive. Todd

Mark, like Kyle said these types of seats are standard from Pac Bay or Batson Enterprises labeled for us. It would really be hard to tell who the manufacturer is without seeing it. Todd

Tim, that blank has been built for years as a Cod Rod in the NE. I can guarantee you that it isn't a Snook rod. Depending upon the manufacture time it had either a 28mm or 30mm top. This blank is very soft in action and too long for Halibut. Even the BT963M would probably not be a good choice for Hali's. I would recommend looking for something in the 6' - 7' range rated in the 60-80 lb. range. A

Joe, I don't know of any out of the ordinary failure of this particular model built spinning or conventional. If you want to contact me we can make arrangements to get it replaced. While we don't make this particular model any longer we will replace it with the model "IMC845" blank that replaced it. Todd

Gary, Rodbuilders Supply (Andy) is a great place to deal with. He carries a large selection of high quality products from St. Croix, Sage, Fuji, American Tackle and of course Lamiglas. You can't go wrong there. Todd

Joe, with the factory rods we build for your area we have been using the Fuji Power Oval guides and the BHNNG's. These have worked extremely well and we have received no complaints about the performance. Todd

Spencer, that 964 is what Emory uses quite a few of and I think he also extends them to 8'6" and possibly 9' for the application you referenced. I use the 7'6" IMP764 model extended 3" and they are my goto rod for running plugs and small diver & baits. it really allows the plugs to perform well. Todd

Bill, follow this link and view the video labeled "Speed Kills". You will get a better idea of how these rods are used. This video was made last may when we were in Costa Rica. Todd

Paul, I have fished the CHJ blanks myself and they perform well. This series was designed for the butterfly jig type application. We have been building the rods for over 3 years and have had nothing but positive feedback. I'm sorry to hear these blanks have been back ordered to you, I checked our orders and we have none on backorder here. Todd

Larry, the Spring Creek (brown blanks) are totally different than the honey two piece models. While they are still tip over butt the butt section and a short distance up the tip has been changed to remove that "tail wagging" effect.

Joe, I would agree with Larry, do the multi piece models. Either the 3 or 6 piece. My favorite in this series is the 7'6" 4wt. I have that in a 10 piece model and I just love it. Todd

Emory, I know on our models that we build with the carbon tubing most weigh less than the cork. I suspect now that the ones that do weigh less are the smaller diameter blanks. Todd

I also would like to express my appreciation for all that attended. There was a great turnout and we had 11 very good demonstrations on top of the product reviews from the folks from All American Rollers, American Tackle, Batson Enterprises & Pacific Bay. Scott Gimbert from Mud Hole and Andy Snedden from Custom Rodbuilders Supply were also here representing their company's. The Boudin and P

Bill, the fishing has been a day to day thing. One day not a bump, the next red hot.......... If it follows the current trend.......Sunday will be a not so hot day............. But if you have Karry with you........it will always be a hot day. See you Friday, Todd
