I have been hearing from bunches of folks attending, it should be good fun for all that attend. And Doc has promised to keep his pants up for the whole event.
Billy,
sorry to hear you won't be able to attend. I'm sure Karry and Adam will hold the fort down. We won't let them keep too late hours.

John,
I would recommend the Lamiglas blank model GLB902ML, it's 7'6", 2pc. rated 6-25 lb. wth a 1/2 - 2oz lure rating. This is the blank that Lamiglas builds it Russian River rod on.

Robert,
in that series the blanks are all the same, just the finish color is different.
David,
we have plans in the near future to add to the surf line. It has been very popular and we have had nothing but positive input from them.

Steve,
I haven't done a push pole but I did a set of drift boat oars that were about 10' long each. The problem with his was that the original finish had worn off and the graphite portion was exposed and would leave splinters in your hands when you handled them. I just used flex coat and it turned out fine. Probably had a thicker finish than the original one but you could handle them again.

That is the case. For the first two year when they were offered only as blanks they were coated a translucent blue. Last year when lamiglas started a rod series from them they changed the color from the blue to a metallic forest green.

Don,
it does have a stiffer tip than the 150 with a slimmer profile. Also a very powerful butt.

After many inquiries about this blank at the High Point show we made a special purchase of them.
This is the 13' 0" blank designed for Red Drum Tackle, the only difference is that instead of a Texalium handle section we have had it made with a woven carbon handle which will add less weight and give greater hoop strength. This blank has been referred to as the "1502MH on Steroids'. It

I think that would be a very good idea. Everyone needs a fresh drink of water after setting up.

I also would recommend using a razor blade. Hold it straight up at a 90 from the blank and carefully scrape the finish off one thin line at a time. then very lightly sand the ridges off.

There have been no changes in the standard fiberglass fly blanks. Actually there have been no changes to this series in 10 years, just some additions.

The Lamiglas GFC84H was designed for catching keeper sturgeon on the Columbia river.
7' 1pc. 20-50 lb. size 7 top just perfect for detecting that very subtle bite with the back end to handle the oversize fish if needed.

Jim,
It is the old school of thought on the surf rods only having 3 or 4 guides. I'd definitely go with a minimum of 7 guides on a 10'. Also Lamiglas does have a 10' 4pc. model surf blank "GSB1204M".
