Hey Ken, I think it is actually cheaper to fly from the left coast than the middle. Especially ND, is there even an airport in North Dakota Putter?

Robert, I believe we have what you are looking for. New in our 2006 blank catalog are a series of classic glass actions. These are old Fenwick type actions which were very popular in the puget sound area for decades. The model in particular I think will fit all of your needs is: ICG 108 2DR 9'0" 2 pc 15-30 lb. 3/4 - 4 oz. lure Regards, Todd Vivian

Steven, There are several ways to assemble these. Flex Coat sells arbors that will fit the ID's of these tubes (22 & 24 mm I believe). The outside diameter of the large tube matches up nicely with the rear of a 16 or 17mm trigger seat. We also have eva butt caps and trim rings made to use with these. The overall weight of one of these handles is considerably less than the Vetre if it is asse

Hey Guys, This is a pretty interesting material. I'm not totally sure yet of all the uses from our end. When I was first exposed to it I immediately thought handle tubing. I have been experimenting with quite a few different applications though. We have finally gotten a pre-pregger that can supply it to us at a price that makes it affordable to use. We have just completed our first 1000 feet o

Sorry Guys, have been off for the past 10 days doing work around the house. Weather has been so crappy there wasn't much fishing. The Blue Ridge are as Tony described them above with graphite butt section, graphite glass mid & glass tip. We were trying to find an area between the traditional glass actions and graphite. I believe with this blank you will find the best of both worlds for

Jon, I don't currently have CC data on any of our blanks. I am considering beginning a program to CC all of them for internal use. I have pasted the review by Bob Petti of the Global Fly Fisher. It is a great review and I was a bit taken back by it when he emailed me the other day telling me he had done it. Two blanks from Lamiglas XMG50 9ft 4wt 2pc Blue Ridge 7ft 3wt 3pc

Hey Guys, actually it was only the 9', 3pc Perigee fly models that were brought back. These were the best sellers out of the whole series to begin with and have held their own since returning them. Our 2006 catalog was just delivered to us and they are still there. I want to thank those of you that have supported the return of these blanks as I was very reluctant to put them back in. For

Guys, one other thing, for 2006 we have this model available in 7'6" and 8'. Evidently these were needed for Jerk Bait Rods and for some larger crank baits. While these are not listed in our 2005 catalog we do have them in stock (only in black) and can be purchased through any of our dealers or distributors. BMB901E 7'6" BMB961E 8'0" Thanks, Todd

Ole, With the number of guides in the sizes you list you might have a hard time spacing it correctly. With our factory 10'6" models we end up using the following guides to get the correct spacing. BLAG-6J 5 BLAG-7J 4 BLAG-8J 3 BUNAG-8 1 BLNAG-10J 1 BLNAG-12J 1 If I remember correctly when I spaced these it was the minimum I could get away with. Todd

Rich, We build a rod specifically designed for fishing Reds. These guys are using 7'6" spinning rods rated 12-25 lb. with a lure rating of 1/2-2 oz. They are using shorter rods because of the faster water and there are so many snags that you have to be able to turn those fish quickly. This can't be accomplished with a longer rod. The blank model is "GLB902ML". This blank isn't i

This was the reply I made to a builder that inquired about this after reading this post. "your cost of one of our 4 pc. blanks would be about 25% more than you would pay normally. You could purchase this through one of our regular distributors like Mud Hole, Anglers Workshop, Merrick Tackle or Custom Tackle. Now depending on how much you want to invest you might just want to consider

Charles, Ralph O'quinn builds a pretty cool spin/fly rod. He purchases a 9' 5wt blank in 4 pc. and orders a 2nd mid 2 section. He builds the fly out of the 9' then builds the spinning handle on the 2nd mid section which gives him a 6'6" spinning rod. He told me that he has been doing this for some time and has gotten a really good response from the people he has built them for. Todd

OK, we quit building blanks with spigot ferrules in the early to mid 80's. I know that the repair department usually will save parts when they have the chance but chances are you will probably end up with something else. You can tell them when they contact you that I said to give you the Appalachian 965 for a replacement. Todd
