does the guide adhesive hold good enough to be able to cast the rod so you can set your guides for the best casting? i use the tubing right now and when i go out and test cast they get out of wack easily.

i agree with tom 72-78 seems to be the best...my room stays 78 degrees all year because we only have like 2 weeks of winter....during the little winter we have i keep the heat lamp for my snake cage on and it keeps the snake at cage at 95 degrees and the heat from the lamp also keeps the room around 72-76 you can just go get a heat bulb from a petshop and put it in your current lamp whenever y

justin i use threadmaster lite and its great it has a very long working time and is very clear....i use lite build for everything i build no matter if its an ultra lite or a 100+lb offshore rod i just use multiple coats to get the thickness i like(i find the lite lets the bubbles go out easier)...to release bubbles isntead of using heat i like to blow in a straw at it and they usually come out no

when i have to sand i dust the wrap off with a brush or use a coffee filter....when i do an open wrap i put a few coats on the whole wrap and get it nice and thich and sand everything smooth with 1500g paper and then put on a thin coat and its comes out pretty flat(just have to put on a couple coats so you can fill the holes)

i dont know why everyone says light colors over dark blank makes the light color darker....i use white over black blank all the time with cp and the white looks as white/light as it does on the spool

is it a double foot hook keeper or single? if single just tape it to the blank on the opposite side of the epoxy and then apply super thin coat of epoxy(you could try letting the epoxy set up a little before you apply so it doesnt flow in the hinge but not sure how that would work) and if using a double foot do the same just do one side let it dry then do the other side

like tom said epoxy isnt effected by humidity because if it was i would have a really hard time using it(i live in south florida and most times i apply my epoxy the humidity is 90-100%) and like he also said you put it on too thick i did this a few times before i realised it was because i put it on too thick...now i put it on thin and it comes out great and its also easier to keep the bubbles
