155. Re: Guide Placement
get the book rod building guide by tom kirkman from a sponser on the left...do a static deflection test to figure out where your guides should be unless you are doing a spinning rod with the new guide concept....if doing the new guide concept then get the newest issue of rodmaker

i dont know how big the files would be but with the ammount of subscribers you would need a decent server...along with someone to maintain it...not that hard really if you know what you are doing but if tom doenst know much about that sort of thing it would be extra cost and labor to maintain it
tom if you decide to go that route and need some help i would be glad to help you in any way i can(

am i correct in saying the reason the foil extends the potlife is that it disperses heat better that a plastic mixing cup? if so couldnt you get a small copper bowl(i think copper disperses heat better than aluminum) and would extend the potlife a little longer?

176. Re: uneven Epoxy
how long are you spending per guide applying the epoxy??? sounds like its taking you 10 minutes for the first guide
put the finish on each guide fairly quickly(do all the guides), then come back and touch up anything you missed and then go back and brush them length wise to even it all out...after that let it sit for a minute or 2 and if you see any sags underneath swipe them off(careful not t
