have you looked at Batson's IP840 or 841? They have them in the new RX8 and although I have yet to have that model in hand I think you would be pleasantly surprised. Tom Kaufmann

Guys, I have to give Todd at Mudhole some serious props!!!! While I was loading my rods up in the back of the Tahoe from a recent trip, I somehow managed to break the top two inches off of my MHX SJ720. I emailed Todd asking what he would suggest doing with the blank (other than making reamers out of it) and he went WAY above and beyond and is sending me a replacement free of charge... I can't

Hopefully if they bring out something new, it will be just as nice as the current offering or nicer and remain somewhere close to that price point! For the price they sure are hard to beat for certain applications. Tom

GREAT, something else that I have to go out and get... LOL I was just working on a rod last night and quietly cursing to myself on account of the issues that I was having withthe HT. Glad to hear the FishHawk doing well.

Jim, A couple of years ago I had the chance to talk with you at ICRBE and you put me onto Diamondite.. I really liked it for doing inlays.. what are you using now? I've currently got Threadmaster, and Flex Coat at the house. What would you recommend for butt caps.. i have been inlaying Chiefs anchors lately (they just made a bunch of new chiefs and they have seen what I have done in the past

Tony, you will be hard pressed to still find Shikari, however you might get lucky on the ATC. Check with Scott at Fishsticks. Tom

Pat, Once you get to a point that you are satisfied with the results you might investigate the possibility of some different lines.. P-Line is not what most would call "supple",however I do like it though for certain applications. Tom

Brett, Have you casted it?? If so are you happy with the way that it performs?? If you are not happy try a 25 and if you have smaller runners you could give them a shot too. What line are you using? What lures are you tossing with it? Both of these will greatly affect how you "could" set the guides up, note I said could...NOT HAVE TO Tom

Bill, Get first hand input by using it yourself!! Once you see and believe the advantages that they can offer for certain Bass rods (some others as well) You will be easily selling him on the rewards.

For my take, as far as durability goes, I would have to give it to the composite. I have eva caps that I have had to redo on account of them getting torn up. I have both on my personal rods and haven't had a problem with either....

I think that you will have ZERO problems with those guide choices. I am currently playing with a punching rod and a frog rod with 2.5's and 2.0's respectively... I have not been able to get out and do any test casting as of yet but plan on doing so soon. I can tell you that just doing some pitching in the rod room with 50lb braid, all seems to be well. If it doesn't work the way I want it I will

Bill, They look great. I have been spreading the word out to several fisherman who have events coming up on the James and Potomac that I need unbiased testing! I think they are more excied about getting their hands on the rods than I am. All of the events are within the next month and I will keep you all updated as to what their inputs are on the rods. The Chief complaint that they ALL have o

no worries Steve, I just may have to do the same as yourself and give it a go with each blank as these are rods that are not needed right away. I only have Back Bay with heavy grass but I may have to get them and take an "exploritory trip" up to the James, Chickahominy or even Potomic to give em a fair shake. if anyone else has any other suggestions, I would greatly appreciate those
