I have used from 1 1/2 RPM to 9 RPM, and I tend to like the 9 a lot better. The picture I posted under Timed dryer that I built has both 9 RPM motors on it.

I have bought a couple of them from him, and I really do like them. For the price, I don't think they can be beat. I have had a couple of people play with them and they are quite interested in where I got them. The 101m works reall well on my 6' 2wt and my 6'6" 2/3wt.

I just built a 6'6" 2wt Tiger Eye and I love the way it feels, although I have not fished it as of yet. It is a 4pc blank. Unhide your e-mail and I will try and send you a couple of photos of it later on today Ron

You do not have to do anything to the existing wraps, I have waited weeks before deciding to put the second coat on.

I believe what is happening is like a ring & pinion effect. The rollers are trying to climb upwards on the taper of the rod, causing it to pull out of the chuck. As Bob said I believe not clamping down on the rollers should fix the problem. I do not use that chuck, just a drill chuck. I can spin the rod not in the chuck with the rollers tight and it will climb. I have had it climb onto the

You can use an underwrap, but there is absolutely no need for it on a lite rod, just adds weight an minutely dampens action.

If the section is completely hollow, use compressed air to try and blow it out.

I use Flexcote Hi-build and my dryer motor is only 2 RPM and have had absolutely no issues at all.

Get the high build, then if you don't like the heavy coat, you can just warm up the high build and lower the viscosity like lite build.

I generally just lightly taper the guide and the transition is a lot easier to make and still acts a a holding feature

Seems a little short and lite to use for surf casting, but should be fine for the other applications.

Search @#$%& under cable pulleys thats what I put on my wrapper, mine are over 20 years old and still working fine. I use the 2 1/4 with a 3/16 bore and add 1/4" orings to the grooves. Ther are really quite inexpensive. 6 ea. AN210-2A Control Cable Pulleys

I don't believe that I would put an underwrap on that particular blank, unless you are just looking for looks, it will add weight and slow it down just a little. I generally only use underwraps on my saltwater builds.

Light grey in NCP thread will not bleed thru. I just finished wrapping a dark green blank with lite and dark grey. The feather inlay is on lite grey and has absolutely no signs of any bleed thru. Send me your e-mail address and I will send you a picture. Ron aka Rons Custom Tackle
