My surf/jetty/pier rod based on a Seeker CJB90F with aluminum Pac Bay reel seat, hypolon grips and Fuji guides has been finished for a while and in a month or so I will have the chance to use it on the West coast. Also I could build another rod on a Am Tac SW1088 graphite blank but not looking into that right now, a much further project.
Need input and advice how good in real life application is the Seeker rod. Can it be used for what I built it? or is it better suited for a different application? I know any rod can be used for any thing but I like to have not to struggle with a improper set-up. If you built rods on this blank, what did you use it for? and if you used it for surf/jetty how did it feel? All input, advice and criticism is needed. Model CJB90F, lenght 9', Line 20 (25) 30, Tip 7, Butt .89, Fast action, Power MH Thank you. Please keep the internet green! Recycle electrons. Re: Seeker CJB90F good enough?

Seems a little short and lite to use for surf casting, but should be fine for the other applications. Re: Seeker CJB90F good enough?

CSJ90 is a great blank. I use it to pier fish and it has great backbone but a soft enough tip to cast. Also the SW1089 IS STIFF. Better alternative would be the Viper AV1089. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
