So I started my 1st weave with the wonder weaver on a renzetti lathe and the way the thread carriage is behind the lathe - the thread lays under the blank and over the top. This makes the weave center location on the side of the blank facing me. It seems as though it should be facing up.
I think I saw where some of you added a carriage that has the thread coming under the blank canvas to a carri

I have a renzetti lathe that is set up to wrap right to left instead of the conventional left to right.
So, I want to get a Wonder weaver 1 for weaving.
Question - how will that affect the set up of the wonder weaver with the the grip being on my right?

What would be my best source for learning how to do more intricate wraps. I limited to diamonds. I have seen some diagrams, however, they seem to be written for the experienced.
Any input would be much appreciated

I have looked at a lot of weaving looms and even purchased one from Mudhole. None seemed to fit my needs. So I began to consider what was it that these others didn't do for me. The first thing I came up with is they are all difficult to see the exact place to insert the individual threads. After thinking about it for a while, I hit upon using the same principal I use to make fly boxes. Inste

Hello,
I'm from Australia and am trying to contact Renzetti.
I've lost the drive belt for my rod lathe and require a new one.
I can register at Renzetti.com for purchases but when I go to checkout there are no payment or shipping options and the sale stops.
I have filled the form in on their website twice as well as emailed mail@renzet

Ok, there are many GREAT rod building tools and gizmos but which one do YOU think you think you could not live without or would cry if it was taken away.
Hands down, mine would be my Flex-Coat slip-clutch. Finish work would not be the same if I did not have one and every rod gets finish so every rod would be impacted.
Other favorites are my Doc Ski weaving jigs, my Wonder Weaver, my and cork

10. Visual Weave
I'm getting a Renzetti Wonder Weaver to go with my new Renzetti lathe. I'm also getting Jim Upton's book, and considering buying the Visual Weave software at the same time.
Does anyone on the forum use the software? Does it run easily under Windows 7 Professional? Any bugs or quirks?
Thanks!

Greetings all, I've been away from the board for awhile and am amazed at all of the new ideas out there,. I am getting more into the thread work and need to move up to using a loom. I know the Wonder Weaver is out there but I am looking for something a little less expensive to start. I remember one from a couple years ago but can't find anything here with a search. Can anyone advise which sponsor

Ken and Tom I just wanted to take a moment to thank you.Ken, It was many years ago and on another forum but... when I first got into Rodbuilding I plagued you with questions and you always helped and provided me with the answers and advice that I needed, I probably never mentioned it but you were a great mentor. Tom your book was a great companion to Dale Clemens "Advanced Custom Rodbuilding

I am going to be weaving TEXANS vertically on a blank with the tip side at .86in and butt side .95in with a overall length of 17in. "Texans" does not have to fill the entire area, but appropriate size letters for the blank is needed. This will be matching a set Billy V's custom grips with the Texans logo on them. I have a couple of questions. I have only done a few weaves thus far. What

After after these years of wrapping rods, but not doing much to really dress 'em up, I'm ready to do some decorative wrapping using a Renzetti wonder weaver or a Doc Ski jig. Any thoughts on ease of use, the pros' & cons using each, wonder weaver Vs wonder weaver II, Doc Ski's Vs Renzetti's. I've seen the Doc Ski jig in action as the local rod shop has provided them. As the winters are pretty

Hey everybody.
I just ordered the Pac Bay Power Wrapper with the deluxe chuck from Donart rods. I want to how many spools it will hold. I have been using a hand wrapper and constantly changing on colors on vibrant rods is a pain. Is there an upgrade I can purchase?
Thanks in advance!

21. Weaving help
I just finished doing a very time consuming, 8 color weaveand it di not come out good in one area. The problem area was with a tall building and the length of the threads to make the height of the building. The lines were not very straight and did not fill the space enough. I am looking for some tips on how to get around this. The only thing I can come up with is to put another shade of color in

Any one have a pattern for doing a single color baseball weave that shows the seams of the ball coming down vertically on both sides.

I have never tried a fancy weave and I would like to make a rod for my parents for Christmas. I would like to do a weave of a traditional Navajo pattern. So is there a 'best' book to use as a teaching guide for practicing and learning how to do a weave like this? AND does anyone know of a pattern in a book that could be followed for this type of weave?
If it makes a difference this is going

I bought a Wonder Weaver from Merrick and also ordered some Doc Ski patterns from them.
They did not have many in stock so I took what I needed from what was there. Some of them
must have been around for a while as they are hand written and carry Holland Thread numbers
with no colors indicated next to them. One pattern was printed and had gudebrod numbers and colors.
If anyone out there
