Wonder weaver 1

I have a renzetti lathe that is set up to wrap right to left instead of the conventional left to right.
So, I want to get a Wonder weaver 1 for weaving.
Question - how will that affect the set up of the wonder weaver with the the grip being on my right?

Think of it this way, if the rod was in a lathe with the Wonder Weaver on it, going from left to right and you swapped ends with the whole thing (pick up the lathe, with the rod in it, and swap ends) it wouldn't have any effect on how the WW was set up just on how you work with it.

Hi Jim!
Thanks for the response!
So - the problem is that the way my lathe is set up - I have to wrap right to left and the butt section/ rod handle will always be on my right and if I understand your wonder weaver correctly - the sliding tube section is the suppose to be on the handle and this is the piece that holds the “left threads”.
So it seems to me that the wonder weaver is a left to right - up the blank - device.
This will not be a problem as I think I have 2 options:
1. Turn the renzetti lathe around
2. Use a pac bay lathe that I already have - because as I see it there isn’t a need to use a power wrapper anyway as everything is hand turned - the lathe basically just holds the blank in place.
Your thought Jim?
Also,
I am looking for a copy of your book - any ideas where to find a copy? Most of the places I found either didn’t carry it or were out of stock.
Thanks,

Jon Hood

Yes, you can use your Pac Bay Lathe to hold the rod while you weave from left to right. The book should be available from Mudhole, C&M Custom Tackle, 310 Rodworks, Anglers book supply and Anglers workshop.

Jim,
Last question (for now????)
I assume the WW 2 is basically in case you do not have anywhere to lock down the the rear or the left end.
And the WW 1 gives more thread control.
Correct?
