Helo Col.
What is the brand and model of your scale?
As you said I do have a bunch of the Pro Wrap, Fish Hawk and Gudebrod.
If I can find the proper scale I might do a few tests.
Thanks Col.

Hello All.
I've heard that you need to put a small air hole in one end or the other if you are shipping by air, to equalize the pressure, any truth to that?

Hello Col.

I think the article you are looking for is one of the ones in 13/1.

Hey Bill
Thanks but I have tried Rick's method (a bit labor intensive but works great) and was looking for a simpler method and less clean-up.
My next try will probably be Tom's "Urethane: Aplication Technique" in RM 14/4 pg. 26.
I have some solid fiberglass blanks I want painted white and coated so I figure I will tint some PG with some Testor's white and try Tom's technique, I

1339. Re: Rod tip size.
Hello Col
I'm not to thrilled with them, a lot of the time you can't get a #4 ring with a #7 tip tube and have to go with a size #8 ring unless you use Minima, or FXT's then you can get a 4-7, no way have I seen anything with an 8 tube and a 4 ring.
I have some Seeker CBW709's I would not mind trying a #4 ring on with #4 runners all in titanium.
Maybe some day they will get with the prog

Total free agent at the moment so I do what I want (mostly) but there are bills and taxes so I still have to work till I can retire(eligible 1/25/1213).
The "bills" part may keep me working a year or two more than I want, however thre are still some options that may yet open for me and I might leave early or on time, it

Hello Earl.
Old school I'd go with American Tackle AXRT-80 or a little newer, a Batson FSU56-XXL.
Even older school, a Lamiglas WRT 130 that will haul in a semi-truck but it weighs 21 & 3/4oz's.
Happy picking.

1348. Re: Need help with weave
Hello Brandon.
You need to talk to Jim Upton about that but there used to be some patterns for letters in the rod builders library.
What type of weaving loom do you use?
I use a wonder Weaver, but have only done a few weaves mostly dragons and fish.
Well good luck with the weave.

Hello Brandon.
I use the blue painters tape and tape them on so I can pull them off do a couple turns then tape it back on with the same piece of tape.
Keeps it out of the way and can do all kinds of stuff using a bunch of colors taped on at different lengths so you don't have the all the tapes(one from each spool) getting tangled.

I never even thought of using such a small guide for an beach rod.
Will it be able to handle a medium sized shark should he decide to eat your bait and you have too crank down on him to keep from spooling you?
I usually don't go smaller than a size six on a beach rod although I do use three's (I got short stubs too.)on my medium salt boat rods.
Well Col let us know how they ha
