Hello Russell
I built a Seeker GTS70L for the same jobs and it worked out nice but it is a bit pricey for "Grand Kids" so I would go to my backup Gator: B12-40L, 12-40#, 7' .92 butt, 9 tip,med-fast. live bait rod.
It's as tough as they come and cheep (around $25.00).
Have Fun with the Grand Kids!!

Hello Billy
Bob is elsewhere and the Custom Tackle Supply link is not available to me because something is wrong with it (virus?) acording to my uncle sam computer and it won't let me view it.
Do you carry the KDPS 20's in stock? (they are not on your web site that I can find).
I take it from your silence that you have not made-up your mind about where you plan too hang out at next years I

Hello Billy
Yea I know it hapens to me all the time!
Where did you get the KDPS 20's? Mudhole only has 16's and I don't like 16's even though I have kinda short(but wide) hands.
Have you figured which hotel you are going to hang in in 2013?
I'm thinking I might go with the Embassy Suites.
See you later.

1361. Re: jigging blank
Hello Capt. Beck.
Are you refering to the "Bushido" "Warrior rod blanks" by American Tackle?
If so they are sold by MudHole and I would guess anyone who sells Amtac stuff.
If it's not them I have no idea. (Smart as a conch ya know).

Hello Ken
Thanks for the heads-up, The bottle I got at the ICRBE is a little thicker than FC high build so I will try the water to thin it.
Another question; can you flame it to break bubbles or is that a no-no?
Thanks again Ken.

Hello All.
Colin & Lou, how & with what did you thin the TM1, (I was told not to thin it.) because it was way thick and would'nt release bubbles for me.
If you can safely thin it, it would be better.
I'm all for a 1 part epoxy or a slower PG (a lot slower) but I tried to put the TM1 on and it was so thick I could not get it on the rod thin enough(without using a thinning agent) f

Hello Mark
Welcome Aboard and good luck to you on your first build!
My first build was on a MudHole bottom blank kit using a Shakespear US 727.
I buy a LOT (for a hobbyist of 10yrs.) of stuff from MudHole and always get great service.

5 day's ago I had some bad back pains so I took some drugs the doctor gave me, 5 minutes I felt nothing from the drugs(little sticker says "alcohol will increase effect") so I took a bottle of Captain Morgans rum and took a couple of swallows.
Ten minutes later the drugs kicked in next thing you know I feel GOOOOODDD and start doing a thread wrap using braid
