Looking for short trolling blanks

I am in search of a 5'-5'6" e glass blank or moderate graphite blank for trolling small cranks in freshwater for walleyes. These would be the "inside" rods on a 4 rod spread. I have found some stuff for saltwater, but they are over the top on power. Will be used with 10lb fireline. I know there are few options for these types of rods in the 7'+ range, but have had trouble locating anything shorter. Would prefer 5'ers.
Thanks
Josh

This is one possible choice. We have used these to build many "shorty" rods for inside rods on a trolling spread. Trim all from the butt to make the length 5 feet and you will be good to go. Since they are solid glass, they are virtually unbreakable;

Batson 385X.105X72 The retail price on this blank is $12.

If you want a hollow glass blank, you could check both the Batson

spg722 and the
spg 723.

Again, both of these are 6 foot blanks. Trim from the butt to give you the 5 foot length. Since both of these blanks are in the $15 range, you might build a rod of each blank to see which one suits you best.
Both of these are hollow glass blanks and should work well for your application.

Good wrapping:

Roger
