There are so many componets to choose from you can find value and quality. For big fish on a trip I may not be able to do again for a long time I won't skimp on the reel fly or other wise and I tell people not to skimp on fly lines I've had cheap ones but never again. Mike

Hi Billy I hate to rewrap guides I wrap a few and then either put on a coat of perma gloss or color lock. They always want to move if I try to wrap to many or come loose at the ends. Mike Mikes Custom Fly Rods

Hi Wade When buying machines always buy the best you can afford. Sometimes its best to wait until you can afford, I bought a saw for 150$ it @#$%& from now on I wait a little longer to get the better tool. Its worth the wait. Mike Mikes Custom Fly Rods

Hi Chad I just bought a floor model from Grizzly Tools, haven't finished setting it up yet but in comparison to table top models this was a no brainer for me. I had to wait a while to buy one but am glad I didn't buy cheap as I have with other tools. Reviews online were very helpful in my decision. Model # of saw G0555 I got the polar model for 425 before tax and was able to pickup my self. Chec

Hi What does everybody think between St.Croix 5s66lf2 and the 5s66mlf2 for 18-24 in. rainbows. Is the light action to light.Customer will be drift fishing mostly many different baits. He had me do one and he wanted a stiff rod and I used the ms66mf2 which is to stiff not enough feel. Other brands won't do he wants St. Croix.

Using arbors will be light and easy or you can use a minama seat, or a split seat or make your own insert to go with it. Inserts can be made with a lot of different materials. Check out Mudholes project x or tribal ink seats. Mike
