Dave,
Orvis shows a 7'6" trout bum 1 weight full flex. It's not a 0 but should under-line 1 line weight without too many detrimental effects. TFO also shows a 6'9" 1 weight Finesse that should also be capable of under-lining CTS has an 8' 1 weight Vintage and is open to custom designs. I thought Thomas and Thomas made one but can't find a listing anymore. Will look thru some websites and get back if anything's out there Eugene Moore Edited 1 time(s). CTS has a "vintage" model in a 8' #1 wt. But they will build you whatever you wish as a "one-off".

Associated question: How is 0 weight possible? What I mean is what does the zero relate to? Can't be CCS, can't be line? Re: 0 Wt. Fly Rod

If I read this correctly, a 0 wt line is somewhere around 30 or 40 grains for the first 30 feet of line, and a 0 weight rod is going to CCS at around 3 or 4 pennies: [www.common-cents.info].
You might be able to "create" a 0 weight blank by taking a multi piece 2, 3, or 4 wt and dropping the butt. This will really slow the action, but it might be an option to consider. George Forster Fort Collins, CO Re: 0 Wt. Fly Rod

Ken,
To be quite frank I have no idea. I do not fly fish so I know very little about fly line, blanks, etc. I'm just trying to do some R&D for a customer. But I'm sure someone out there can answer that question for you. <>Dave Re: 0 Wt. Fly Rod

Built a 0/1 weight on a Dan Craft and absolutely love it. After contacting him direct I even worked a deal to get an extra section so I could build the rod with two handles, so it can be a 6' something or a longer rod for larger waters. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
