I used RedPalm wood for each end middle and in wells, Black African each of middle and cross hatch fly foam for the green accent rings. If anyone trys using redpalm save some trouble and buy it stabilized. This wood cracks easily.

It's an ugly stick and I thought wrapping might be the way to go. I thought I saw something once about putting piano rod for inner sleeve would that work?

A buddy asked if I could fix this for his son it has sentimental value normally I would say it's a Conner that being said I thought about sleeveing the hole area but that a lot of weight also thought about just wrapping and epoxying any good ideas appreciated.

I absolutely Batson Forecast SB780 6 1/2 ft one piece. It is a great Crappie rod for casting small jigs, and will handle those Bass that like Crappie jigs. Have sold several of these and all have been well liked. I like mine with a Tennessee split grip.
