A fool question, did you use a cork clamp an put some pressure to it befor it dried so all the cracks are tight an left it there to dry just a question ???????

mudhole has the best pie cutter an the saw off Amazon will do the best job for you there are some othere people asking about them , look on this forum down a few items on this list an see if you get the idea take your time, cut stright, an pick up some cheep rings an try it frist SID

one of the things that will help is a thin sharp saw some one on this forum set me on to a saw that is extreamly thin an sharp, I have tried many saw blades from the FREAT to Axico they will all work but the one I got off Amazon.com is the best thin an shark, when you glus the pie shapes back to gether if the saw blade is not real thin the shapes will be different sizes [don't need that will se

this might help it did me , cut down 1/2 way then put in 2 shims then go do a new cut , try to center it,, go 1/2 way put shims stager the cuts so you don't you arenot to close to the other cuts afte you hve cut the cork the way you want then go back an finish the cut all the way keep your saw cut as stright as you can "an vertical," the shims can be almost any thing, X ray fli

this is my frist single wrap guide rod , after reading the directions on the Forhand wrap, it looks like there is a small rap on top of the regular wrap to lock the guide in place , is that correct, is it worth the added time an labor for the wrap , any input ????? Bill

what was said above will work, what I use is 1 wrap of tape with a little over lap an use Bees WAX it is a little more stickey than candle wax [ heavyer ] I can see what is covered easyer

there are forum's for spey rods, as well as some of the line makers will give you some inputs, one of the largest makers of FLY lines has a very good listing of line size to the type an size of rod you have, most of the supporters carry the line, [ there box is mostly YELLOW with a fish on it ] , good luck, PS, there is a window of line sizers that will work on that rod an it is up to yo

I am new at this I tried the dentil bands as well as different types of tape was not happy with it . then I tried elastic tthread from any sewing store cut a foot off the thread an tie one end on rod leave a 2 inch pig tale, put the guide under the loop then strech the remainder, an rap some more then tie it again if it is a 2 foot guide ues 2 foot of thread then keep rapping , the 2nd

When doing a spiral wrap the guide that brings the line from top side tothe bottom side times called a BUMPER GUIDE, [ i think ] is it this a added guide or is it just one of the regular guides that is rotated to the side ? need a little help Bill

there is one cork sliser that will do the 1 1/2 inch rings not just rings don't recall who puts to gether but look around if you want one it is still avalible I think it cuts are 2/ 4/ 8 the one mudhole sells is 2/ 3/ 6/ 12 they all work, it is all in the way you go at it, an what you want as the end cut, Bill

you have 4 problems # 1 casting rod for bait , # 2 you need a fighting rod , # 3 a reel to hold all the line # 4 need a big spike to tie you too when he runs, to get the bait out use a KITE, BALLON, or a RC modle plane { need a 2nd person to fly it ] good luck let us know how it works out for you Bill

your thread draws the dust to it because of static , your air is to dry you need to do away with sttic on the thread , try a vaporizer in your room or draw the thread through a spounge that is a little damp , I have never used static cling spray but it might work , I am just a newbe but that is how I do it, Bill

I also have had problems with the saw an blades have tried a couple of type of saws, the best I found is a good '' fret saw ''woodworking saw, an the blades you can get from a saw blade place sales in Tenn. about $10 for per 100 the fret saw holdes the blade tight an taunt, when I put the pie shapes together use 2 tie raps per ring you will use a lot unable to reuse , Bill
