Help I know a little bit aboit fly rods an even less than spinning what real seat do I use a spinning rod ? the rod will be 7 FT , 2 pice , 8 to 14 lb what size real seat do I use 16 , 17 , or 18 any help I am doing this over the web so what ever size I get will be it so help

have you talked to MUDHOLE they do know the problrms with postage an do work with you to get it down to a point they don't loose money an still don't cost you a group of money , do call them they do work with you my 2CTS just a beginner at rod building SID,

the answer to your question can't be ansered here as there is more than 1 person , every 1 is a little different , most 2 part will work , as well as the urethine 's ,TB lll well also , as I have used a little bit of all, [ not at one time ] some will dry a little harder but all the comments above will work just buy small amounts an try them out an see what you like , my 2 CTS

the syringe is the way to go for the mesurement some times you have to heat it up a little as when it is cold it will not flow very well ,l take your time an try to keep the bubbles out it will help in the end

if you follow Phil's suggestion on how to get the correct guides don't forget the size of the tip top then use Tom"s suggestion on the guidrs don't play with differant sizes go 16, 12 , then on the same size from there on an it should be the size you need for the line an knot to pass thrue it , this will save you some lost fish , snake brand snake guides have a curve to the foot on th

don't know about the postage cost but there customer service is one of the best in the busness if not the best out there, if you have a problem they will bend over back ward to fix it I don't think you will here a bad word about them

doing my frist boat rod , when doing a double wrap on the guides , [ under wrap ] do you put flex coat on the frist wrap befor putting the second wrap on ???????????????? or do you just do both wraps on frist line them up , them do the flex coat ????????????? any help I could not find any thing about this on the forum ,

as you will see there is a lot of idea's out there,, an they will all do the job for you , I think you want to know is about price as a 5 WT you don't need to have a drag that will hold a truck so if you look at the OKuma reels in the high end of there line , you will get a very good reel for the money , an a lot of big box stores handle some part of there line , even the low end of the

when you but on the flex coat or other epoxy take a drop an put it on a coffie can lid ,, that is what you play with it , thay way you can keep track of the hardness an not mess up your project / ROD it is great for me there is always some that you throw away from that MIX

snake Brand is one of best out there, the foot is curved to match the rod , on the small part of the rod it is a real help when winding the guides on , but not cheep compaired to the reg snake guides

at 10 Deg. C your flex coat will be very stiff you will haveto heat the flex up some so it will flow [ will crystalise in the bottle ] hot water or micro wave will do it , you can build a TEMP bow to go over your drying table out of card board [ cheep] can be folded down for later use , an put a light in side for heat works fine for me , but I only do a rod every couple of MTH. don't know about some of the questions but the glue will go up an down to expand it don;t have suffent force to break the shaft on rods you build splin on heavy sections of all rods it is tuff to find I use two pegs with the section suported on each end with weight in the center an turn by hand , messure the drop with a good messureing stick most drop is splin on top [ I use a steel ruller in

I am not sure but rubber flexes an don't how long it will hold the wrap an Flex coat on top with all the effort on the build I would stick on a more stable under build than rubber but it might work so try it out an let us know , but still I would not use it just because it can move some

all the shippers try to get it correct the frist time " BUT " they ali do make mistakes , no matter what one you use, FEDX an UPS are faster to settle up with a claim tham USPS , they are very slow , that is why most of the large supplyers don't use them when shipping a unit that cost more than $ 50.00
