if you are only sealing the water out use RTV no streneth but will hold to alum. an stop the water leak from the inside, most hardwear stores stock it make sure it is the type that will hold on to Alumin. not a paint or house sealeant, have used it on my ALUMIN CANOE many times to seal a seam

I use Stainles steel mesureing spoons , it is smooth, an bend the handle a little so it will set level, an you can hold it in your hand , where the heat of your hand will help to bring the bubbles to the top, this will hold up to 2 CC each for mixing [ 4 CC total ] , easy to wripe out after with a little DA

want a 2 piece casting rod 6 to 6.5 FT 6 to 12LB will use braided 15 LB an flip 1/4 to 1/2 OZ plug or clouse to the values, having a problem findind a blank {bass fishing }] [ 2 piece cheeper mailing ] so I will use a spinning rod as the blank , what do I need to know about the line rateing an guide spaceing any help thanks for all input Bill

A out door cooker Turkey syringer worked for me not much good after, but the needle was long enought for me if not for you a thin plastic tub supper glued to it, an a wooden bamboo shaft from the kitchen to open it up an a little an slip the needle with the plastic shaft in, use slow cure on the glue an it is messy good luck,, the slower the better

when changing speed controls becarefull as not all speed controlers are equal, some are to run a DC motor an some are for a SCR control motos,r an I am not an expert but I don't think they are all equal just look a little befoer jump it could save you some money Bill

where can I get some EVA sheets not large amounts, not to thick , I have tried foam from craft stores, but what I got was very soft compaired to the EVA grip, hard to smooth it up any help , I am experementing on Handles mixing cork, an EVA to gether the FOAM wants to tear an not smoth up, so what I get is a kind of ruff foam is there any help out there Bill

in making a handle , mixing cork an EAV what is the best glue to use , cork rings an EAV rings that i will make, the EVA rings will be 3 mil thick cork will be the standard .5 inch, I just want some color , any help Bill

they are a a good reels, there are different sizes as well as cost, the more you spend on the reel the longer it will last, better drags, metal spools, better handles, more bearnigs, the pick up bail has a roller instead of a bar for the line to go over, it all counts up an itis not free, Bill

thanks Billy that is what I was after as I have never gone to a distance casting get together, an have no idea about the distance that they can cast, it is just a shot in the park an that is what I wanted to know, I know you wanted to compair the different guides to see the differance of A , B , C , with the numbers you gave, but for people that have no idea at the distance that get on c

use the "" Snake brand snake guides """"""" light, they will fit the curve of the rod better, for wire guides my vote is for "" SNAKE BRAND snake guides "" for the tip #1 the fit is better an you don't have to work on the guide like the rest of them , cost a little more but what you get in return far exceds the other

I am a NEWBE but don't have a problem I use the set of fiberglass rodes with the corksreeew grit paper on them start with the small one an work up to the size I need when I get close to the size I change to the fiber glass hollow rodes that has grit an glue on it an finish it by hand, not perfect but will do the job , that is for cork grips never worked on the EVA type Bill

I am new at building but all I do is stick a dowell in the hole an shim it with tape to fit, an out of sight an go to town never had a problem, just a different way [ not a power raper] so it works fine, my working space is ls about 5 FT long Bill PS CHOP STICKS work fins also an free with supper

is there a WEB site I can get some info on casting rod handles like how long should the butt part be an how long the top part be or can some one here stear mealong a little bit , or is it just a personal feeling like a fly rod ?????? is there a ratio on the rod / butt / for end of handle ?? any help out there what I am bulding is a couple of bass rods in the 6 ft range 5.6' / 6.6' Bill

when I warp a ferrule of any type or size I use a metal rod or wooden stick wrap with one or more layers of tape [ to fit the hole ] sticks [ chop sticks work fine ] I do this as my work station is short don't have the length as I am a hand wraper it works fine

well there is a lot of ways to apply epoxy if you read them all, you come up with a couple of ways # 1 use a stiff brush/ spatula to apply it # 2 don't touch the rod with the brush / spatula # 3 use bubble buster or little heat to to get read of bubble's if you have a problem # 4 what ever works for you is one of the most inportent of al,l as you see soft, hard, or spatula an you
