Phil ......... alot of rods are lost when someone turtles as well as other reasons as you said ............ rod holder problem or another ....... alot of custom rods are lost ........ Joe ........ I'm aware of why the Seeker S glass floats and that you have to use light components. I'm definitely not where I could begin to approach a rod manufacturer to make some specialty blanks ......... s

No Tom ...... I've got it right ......... if the rod falls overboard and if the thing deploys, there will be a bunch of line to deal with when you puled it up ......... and if there is a strong tide, the float will be down stream and probably underwater ....... and if it is by the ships hulls at Kiptopeake or the barnacle covered pilings, the string would probably be cut on the razor sharp barnac

Tom ......... if I remember correctly the rescue device required a float with line and that won't work when I'm fishing in deep water ......... I also don't like the idea of having to deal with a lot of attached line tangling or getting caught on debris or pilings that I might be fishing around. Please forgive me if I remember it incorrectly. I guess I'll have to go back and search for the articl

Phil ........ I stand corrected glad you are a fellow Yaker. I agree with you ....... I don't want any bouy device (I sometimes fish in waters over 80 ft) or tethers ....... they just get me tangled up ...... or floaty lumps on my rod ......... just want it to float, look good, feel good and perform .......... Oh and sorry about the spelling etc above ........ typing fast and not editing ...

Phil ........ my guess is that you don't kayak fish. I haven't lost any but alot of guys I know while kayaking. It's just something that the Kayak guys would probably find helpful ........ and probably spend the money on. Might want to think about it ........ it coulb be a nice new market. A buddy of mine has told me several times that his $500 custome rod was never recovered. His new one ha

Well ...... don't know about that .......... I build a rod that I like for the fish that I catch ........ mainly stripers that are usually 5 - 30 lbs. I want a grip that feels good in my hand and a rod gives a good fight down to the butt. I also want an 11'+ rear grip. I don't like the split grip stuff for me. I want something that feels better than the others I have in the boat for me. As I sa

It's mainly used in large rivers in the northwest for salmon and what the others have said ......... it's beginning to be used on the east coast for stripers on the surf ........... takes a special type of casting but you can get 200+ feet on a cast wothout a lot of back cast ............ check it out on you tube ..........

Uh ........ I use an airgun for Flocking and the manufacturer where Ton is quoted sells one .......... I think there might be a confusion in the terminology. Although the flocking gun operates like an airbrush in that it uses an air source, is attached to a canister and has airflow/flock flow adjustments, it's called a flocking gun and not an airbrush.

Ok ....... I watched them for awhile when I was buying one on several sites. The thing is that the used ones held their value. I think most of them were between $250 and $300 for the Pac Bay's with the upgraded chucks ......... but that was 3 years ago when more people had jobs ....... don't know now

Why are you arguing with him in the first place ........... there are still alot of people that agree with Dale Clemmens about the spine and build on the spine ....... it's his blog and his opinion ......... I don't think either one of you are right or wrong ........ there's just different schools of thought ..........
