I am looking for a 9 to 10 foot fiberglas blank with medium action and medium/heavy power to use on my boat, trolling in the puget sound. I've looked at lamiglas and rainshadow, but they dont have exactly what I'm looking for......any help? My price range is around $100

Thanks

What are you looking for that isn't in those blanks? E or S-glass? Downrigging, divers, or sinkers? Pulling flashers or dodgers?

Don't have what you want??????

Designed specifically for Downrigging and trolling YOUR waters.

Rainshadow DR1265F, 10 foot, medium heavy, 10-17lb line. DR 1264 for lighter and DR1266 for heavier. The DR stands for downrigger, ie, slow action and long so when you drop the rigger, it won't pull out of the line release prematurely. Those slow actions are also ideal for mooching deep for the tasty lingcod on the bottom of those waters.

Robert,
I believe we have what you are looking for. New in our 2006 blank catalog are a series of classic glass actions. These are old Fenwick type actions which were very popular in the puget sound area for decades. The model in particular I think will fit all of your needs is:

ICG 108 2DR 9'0" 2 pc 15-30 lb. 3/4 - 4 oz. lure

I do a lot of Salmon downrigger fishing in the Straights off Sooke, Port Renfrew, Nitinat, Port Angeles and have built several rods off various length blanks and my favorite above all is the Rainshadow DR1147. It is durable yet responsive. It is also not so long as to be a problem on the boat with several fishermen. Several sponsers sell it at less than the listed price. DR1147F Olv.Grn. / M. Clr. 9'6" 2 piece 15-30lb. 1-3oz. 0.750 7.0 Moderate Hvy 5.65oz. $100.00
