Back when I used to drink that was a routine occurance.... no choice except to rewrap. Lifelong lesson, barley soda's only when expoy has set (or none at all)..... too much chance to mess ups! LOL Tom

I must admit, I bought mine thinking that it was going to be similar to the old 843.... It most certainly is not. It is a beautiful blank but I honestly feel that I should have gone with the 709... REALLY kicking myself for that one. Tom

Steve, Do you think a BB2 would be too light for this? My guess is that it will be. Thanks, Tom

Steve, Thanks for the update I think I will utilize in future wraps for anyone vice myself, as you stated the extra insurance is well worth the minute time it takes to perform the wraps. thanks again, Oh my vote goes with either the Batson and especially the ALPS. Tom

Steve, have you decided to stay with a locking wrap or have you moved away from that with the new design? I did not lock the set that I have and have had no failure as of yet. Tom

1035. epoxy help
evening gents, I have a rod that I built for my wife and noticed a while back that the expoy is cloudy and dull. The rod has been in the house and is not a moisture issue. The epoxy I used on it is diamondite, can I scuff and simply recoat or would I be better off with doing a quick rewrap? thanks, Tom

Billy, I know that this may be a silly question but do you think I could get away with mixing the B40 at .5cc of each part? I waste a heck of a lot as it is with the current brands that I am using at 1cc of each part.. Am just trying to keep waste to a minimum. Tom

Wayne, This guy fishes a Pro Qualifier and is wanting a custom MH do you feel the 3c66mf is too light? The Qualifier specs out as a 3c66MHF? I was set on the 3c66mf but after seeing the specs on his current rod I am leaning towards the 3C66MHF. I know this question is purely subjective in your opining which do you like better?? the Croix or the MHX Hi Mod? How is the fall fishing up there?

1044. Re: Thread
I can't say enough about FishHawk!!! I was speaking with an individual who has MANY years in this industry and when he said " it is the best out there" I immediately proceeded to buy some.. He was NOT wrong, that stuff is great. I will be replacing my entire stock in Feb at the show this year!! If you have a specific color let me know and if I have some extra I will get it off to ya.

have a request for a build and I would like first had experience from those of you who have had these blanks in hand. I am comparing a St Croix 3C66MF to a MHX HI mod MB783. Which would you say is lighter? more sensitive and would make the nicest build? I don't have any experience the Hi mod so all help would be greatly appreciated. Will be build split grip, ecs, batson check and micro'd slow

Much nicer than the brand I WAS using.. Needless to say I forsee purchasing MUCH more of this in the near future! Yes, I did purchase from a sponsor and as expected the service was fantastic. Tom

Does anyone have a suggestion to try and match the gold dimpled winding checks from Batson? I have gudebrod ht in 9000,9004 as well as Sulky 7005. None of these match worth a hoot. Thanks, Tom

You are correct it is NOT right but if it is what he is asking for then it is right in his mind. Initially when I read "s" I thought you were asking about the s on Corps not on Marine. Tom
