want a 2 piece casting rod 6 to 6.5 FT 6 to 12LB will use braided 15 LB an flip 1/4 to 1/2 OZ plug or clouse to the values, having a problem findind a blank {bass fishing }] [ 2 piece cheeper mailing ] so I will use a spinning rod as the blank , what do I need to know about the line rateing an guide spaceing any help thanks for all input

A blank is a blank is a blank. It has no idea the manufacturer has it listed as a spinning blank. It's just a tubular shaft, as are all rod blanks. So all the information the maker provides as to lure, line, etc., is what it is.
Spinning rods generally don't require quite as many guides due to the fact that the line is underneath the rod and therefore can't touch the line no matter how much flex you put into the blank. I'd start here: [www.rodbuilding.org] ................... Re: spinning rod to a casting

I use a saltwater spinning rod for freshwater casting, the rod and the muskie don't seem to mind a bit. Wrap it up! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
