Don't tape you micro in place.
Instead use Fuji Hot Melt Glue to hold it in place.
That's dead easy (and allow repositionning if needed).

I dont know customs for Sweden but postage/packaging cost at Mud Hole is not expensive.
I live in France (europe too) and with custom and postage included, the cost is still correct for the MHX quality (very nice blank for me).

I'll go with a split grip (Cork or Eva) with a size 16 or 17 Fuji VSS (or IPS) with the treaded part reduced in a 'no-foregrip style.
With Fuji Y style 20/12/7 then Fly Micro guide (CLAG4).
For light application I'm really happy with the MHX DS820.
Hope this help.

For me MHX should be compared with RX8 at least (if not better).

I'm building two XP840 (one for my son and one for me).
The son rod use Fuji BYAG20/12/7 then BLAG4 (x6) and a BMCAT4.5(4.0) for tip.
It cast very well and it's very light.
My XP840 is not finished yet, it will be Minima 4 XM4XG16/08(perharps 10)/06 then XF4XG04 (x6) and American Tackle MicroLock Nanolite NCRLMT4(4) for tip.

310. Re: weight question
I weighted a 7 UL spinning Rod with 6 micro And 3 réduction guide before after applying finish (Pro Kote one coat in two passes).
The difference was 2 grams (less than 0.1oz).
This should give you your answer.

I use Hot Glue too, for wrapping Micro's it's indispensable for me.

I too have used Gossamer Silk for light fly rod, very nice with no CP (thread became translucent but you have to work on your guide foot to have a nice finish).
But I'm not sure on micro the weight saving will be noticiable.
