No Ken, Ann forced me to go to Jamaica then to Florida for a little fishing and forbid me to work on her rod. I am in the process of making the grips now. She wants a few grips to choose from. Kinda like which pair of shoes to wear from the 100 pair in the closet. I hope to have it ready in two or three weeks.

Bill, I'm not sure what the imperfections you have but you may consider putting on the second coat and and see if that eliminates your imperfections. With the lite build you have to be very careful not to sand through the finish into your wraps. You also have to give the finish time to cure or you will end up with a mess as it may become cloudy. I am not too familiar with the flex coat. I use the

Try walmart, I built a rod with a Detroit Tigers theme They had a whole sheet of "decals" of different sizes. They went on easy and did not peel up. The cost was about 3 dollars for the whole sheet, These are the tempory tattoos that you just peel and stick. Try some I think you will be supprised.

As many of you know, Mike Barkley was not in good health at this years ICRBE. He had undiagnosed breathing difficulty as well as some other problems. His doctors were finally able to give him a diagnosis last spring. He has a condition called Amyloidosis. Mike had fought this condition over the summer and fall however, three weeks ago Mike was hospitalized. The doctors have done all that the

I 'm looking for a pink or black tiger striped blank for a 17 year old girl that is learning to fish. Get bit has a urban camo kit but it's not quite what I'm looking for I thought that I saw one at the Expo this year but for the life of me can't remember who had it. Does anyone know where I can find one? She will be fishing for panfish/bass.

Charles, is your customer the guy that fishes Lower Matacumbe Islamorada at about mile marker 74 just north of Ann's beach? If not there is a guy there that fishes big sharks and always draws a crowd. The bull shark that I saw him catch was 8 or 9 ft. long. I had been wade fishing for bone fish there a couple days before kinda gave me the willies. He fishes mostly at night and it is not unsual to

I just sent a 8' gaff from Houghton Lake Michigan to Clearwater Florida. UNPS wanted $90, UPS $24 and FEDX wanted 18. It wasn't a tough choice. The difference between 7 'and 8' made a huge difference with UNPS, so make sure that the total lenght of your package is within UNPS limits.

I built a flats rod out of a three piece 7 weight fly rod blank . Did just what Jim suggested, cut three inches off the tip and butt, put a US reel on it (ON sale now at Cabela"s) with 10 lb. braid and minama guides. It really reaches out there to the tailing bone fish. I bought the blank from one of our sponsors on sale for $36.00.

I got some abalone dolphin decals from Kevin Knox at the Expo last year. Heated them in water for five minutes, wrapped them with size D tread, ley it sit overnight, then put wraps on each end then put a coat of finish on. Put them (3) on a Gaff and they turned great.

I did a really dumb thing early Sunday morning. Got up about 6;00 am and started turning down a foam core for a handle. I heard a noise that sounded like a bearing going out in the tail stock on my shopsmith. I don't hear very well so instinctively put my ear down a little closer to the tail stock and next thing I was jerked into the tool rest, the 3/8' stainless steel mandrel is bent 45 dregees
