Guys, I just received some Fuji CLRLG Guides and I was putting them away and thought these don't feel (weight wise) the same as the previous lot I got. Under inspection I noticed the frame construction was not as thick and different shaped feet and also only the Fuji name stamped on and no size? Are Fuji changing their manufacturing process to cheaper? I assume so seeing a lot of their product h

Guys, Just letting you know I have just received stock of the new Alps FRS-C32mm Seat. I know you guys in the US don't use seats this size very often. Here in Australia we still have a lot of blanks that need a seat this size. If you do need a seat this size, this is the one that now as far as I am concerned replaces the Fuji DPSD 32 which is now no longer produced. It is made with Dupont high m

When the rod has been bound and epoxy applied when you bend the rod there is this permanent creaking under load that doesn't go away. I haven't encounted it with any other guides but these models. Guys, Those of us building heaps of rods want a material that bounces back open again when pulled through nothing worse than having to muck around opening up thread, spiderwire, fireline etc. I put a post up years ago and still swear by it Boawire 20, 30LB kink proof wire and works a treat won't get me using anything else these days. Cheers, Ross. therodworks.com.au

Billy, Your right there they do fit in between the Fuji guide. A great 20-30lb guide. Lighter frame design than the Fuji HB and HN frame. They will fill a void in the market. I must admit the Alps company are really getting their act together in the quality of the product they are producing it is second to none now. Frames on these XN guides stamped with their name and material code. I have aske

Paul, I have built for myself a Hastings surf assassin which I got rid of their butt section and extended it out myself to be 1 piece 10'. I did it in the bumper method and it is fantastic. It casts like a dream. Fights fish no problems. I can see no reason why you shouldn't build your Loomis this way. I am using 6kg line spinning off the beach with a Daiwa CVZ 253. Go for it you won't be disapp
