Geez Guys has this thread created some interest.Better let you know what I do. Propane torch works for me. I have a Primus .34kg refillable bottle with fittings elbow etc. This works great for me. Wisp it over the wraps no soot etc. This is what works for me. Cheers, Ross.

Jason, The Snyder blank you are inquiring about is and Australian blank manufacturer called Snyderglas. They produce many different styles of blanks here in Australia. Hi all, Just thought I would let you know that the Fuji DPSD 32mm reel seat is not being produced anymore. Fuji have decided not enough world demand for this size and not worth outlaying funds to produce a new mould. We use them here in Australia on our surf rods that are rolled of a large diameter mandrel. Well looks like Pac-Bay and Alps are the choices now. If anyone has any they want to get

Hi Guys, By now most of you would have have seen the new triangular premium grade marine alloy reel seats from Alps. These seats are an excellent quality product. Sizes range from 12mm which are suited to the fly market and up to size 22mm for your larger diameter rods. There is an array of colors to appeal to all. Carrington, Is the fish-eye problem on with your coating on your guide wraps? Or are you trying to coat the whole blank? If it is just on your bindings I would have a guess and say something has got on your wraps prior to applying your finish, which is causing the problem. Are you measuring yor finish with syringes? Have you cleaned them throughly? Something got on your hands. Aerosol was spraye

Tom, The handle assembly's you see are the base for leather fore grips. The gasket cork is not rings. I buy the cork in a sheet ( 3mm thick usually.) Then I cut it into 32mm wide strips and wind it down the blank. Glue on first then wind it down to hold it in place. Then put another on top until you have the thickness you require. Once dry,shape it and it's ready for the leather. Now I think a
