I am interested in customers who have purchased the Pacbay 4rod dryer and any feedback...I remember 1 fellow saying he had an issue with rods falling out when they were in the dryer, and some say they never have that many rods going so they wouldn't buy a 4 rod dryer...I however do a ton of stuff over the weekend, and then can't do any finishing and get backlogged..... Anyhow unbiased short op

I don't know I had positive experience with them all so far. However, my local tackle dealer is still cheaper, but 35 minutes away ...I ordered from Lamar Manufacturing. A+++++. Just wish they had more products e.g. guides, butt caps, all around rod building supplies (Flexcoat ) jk... Custom Tackle they were good too, that guy had some patience, and mud hole too. Mudhole sent the wrong th

Recently, I purchased a PSI turncrafter mini lathe. The instructions weren't very good, at all. That was somewhat disappointing. I looked for something better on the website but didn't find it. I am coming to the realization that the chuck for holding mandrells doesn't come with it....and I will be forking over some more cash. The two black inserts aren't for spinning the mandrells from what I

Louis- Everyone makes mistakes, just don't get to fustrated. I use threadmaster, Andy Dear sells it...I am a hobbiest. I have 5 finished rods, and 3 others started. I found Flex Coat harder to work with....The threadmaster looks real pretty like clear glass....and real smooth...They have an 5 minute epoxy to glue handles with I think too, but I haven't tried it....When I used the thread finish

Jeff-- I am just using reamer after rod comes off mandrell at the end. I measure the blank to find the appropriate mandrell before starting to make it easier. I am using Andy's mandrells too, and his cork... Thanks,

Has anyone used this product yet in a lathe, particular the PSI turncrafter: ? If so what were your thoughts. If you think you got something better for reaming that is compatible for the PSI, send me a link please. I just ordered my lathe and I am getting ready to start the damage:) Thanks, Jeffrey

My bench where I build my rods is indoors, in Houston Texas it is HOT. It is unbearable often to be outside in the summer. I had an extra bedroom so this seemed like a wise choice. I recently started getting into creating cutom handles, doing lathe work is there any way to do this indoors without creating a mess.....e.g. hook up a shop vac, I thought I recalled a few of the ol' timer

I personally think it is a great product, and others do too. Correct me if I am wrong, but Loomis is using these on their line. I still use Loomis as a benchmark of quality, I can list others companies as well. To get on here and degrade a sponsers product, well that doesn't shine to well...I am purchasing a set, a long with a 50mg...I care about weight and performance.

I am building a couple rods and I thought that I would go with recoils. What are the pros and cons of FUJI titanium Recoil vs Fuji Titinanium SIC. I appreciate any help. These guides will be used in simple bumper spiral or casting rod. Thanks again, Jeffrey

Well-- I took Tom's advice a few months back and built a few simple spirals and have been very pleased. I like them a lot! I took them on several trips and caught some real big fish.....I was skeptical at first, but became sold quickly. Simple Spiral systems is the best. If you need any help email me. Best of luck! I'll get ridiculed for this...but a wise old man shared this with me, it works every time. If you get the pumps once you go through the initial priming meaning once you get the first could squirts out just leave them up. Next time you want to mix a batch just take 2-3 pumps from each...works like a charm. Saves money, easy, and never had a problem.
