32. Decals?
I would like to put a Kryptek decal on the Butt and under guides for a build I'm doing instead of using thread.. I see where Barrett does this but I'm not sure where to find the wraps.

Does anyone have the Rodmaker issue that Kevin Knox did on Abalone? I would like to purchase one if you don't need it.

I have some 30lb class rods I would like to install roller tips on. I see Aftco offers a regular and large in their Standard roller tip. I want to be able to wind on a Spro swivel through the guides and wonder if the regular size is large enough?

I'm going to be fighting these fish from a center console boat and from the rod holder (no chair). So I was thinking that a swivel tip may be better that the standard roller tip since I can't move the rod with the fish. What do you guys think?

I am not a fly fisherman but would love to have one on the boat at times when the albacore and small dolphin are around in schools. I know that we are talking about two different beasts here and if you could suggest a rod for both that would be great. I don't want to break the bank on these blanks since I will probably only use them maybe twice a year. Thanks for your help!!

That day sounds good to me Larry. I would love to come by and see your shop. I started to call you the other day about turning a handle for me, but I made due with a drill and a piece of threaded rod.

Ok, from what I have gathered we all know that we live in the "United States Of The Offended" and can't change that. All things said about this, good or bad, have been good points. I am new here and have not been able to feel out most of the rod maker veterans that I first thought would partake in this events attitudes but it seems they have expressed there feelings already. So what ab

For some reason yesterday as I was building a rod I thought how It might be fun for Tom to organize a "Rod Build Off"....you know like the Discovery Channel does with bikes. What if we took some of the sites best builders,...Tom chooses them and gives them a deadline to finish a rod, any rod, and the viewers of the site or Rod Maker Magazine, votes on the winner by maybe a pole through

Guys I need to ream the EVA to almost 1" and can't find a ream that large. I purchased the large from cabelas but it's not even close to being large enough. This is going on a 80# rod with a unibutt so the EVA will be at the end of that 80# blank. I have a couple more 80# blanks so I guess I will just have to cut one up for reaming and make my own reamer.

How can A rod be rated from 30#-80#. My experience with a rod like this has told me that it will probably be best suited for 40#-50#. Why do they do this?

I was thinking about grinding the tip as well but thought that I best not do this to a 80# planer rod that is going to be pulling a massive # 24 Old Salty. BAB THINGS COULD HAPPEN when you throw in some Braided line to the mix. OUCH!!

I measured for a Aftco swivel tip and measured far enough down the rod to allow for the depth of the tip. I measured it to be les than 28th of an inch and ordered a size 28. Today I went to put it on and it would not go all the way down on the rod and bottom out. I did not know that the swivel tip would have taper in it. The rod is 3/8" from bottoming out in the swivel tip.

What effect will the silicone have on epoxy? The reason I ask is because I have access to syringes cheap and would like to try different ones to see if any of them will work. If I new what effect to look for it might save me some time. Thanks for your help!!

I saw a pic of some tops for epoxy somewhere that were blue and made so that a syringe would fit into the top of the cap and reduce spillage. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I would love to get some. Thanks for your help!!
