Bluefin Tuna Rods?

I'm going to be fighting these fish from a center console boat and from the rod holder (no chair). So I was thinking that a swivel tip may be better that the standard roller tip since I can't move the rod with the fish. What do you guys think?

I have only seen one boat use these. Much better to get swivel rod holders. If you can't/don't want to replace the rod holders, you can pick up inserts that mount inside the rod holder to make the rod swivel, but the rod holder must be bolted thru with backing plates. etc..

I am not an expert, but I have seen the Bent but rods with swivel tips that are used for this...... you could get a bent butt and add swivel tip?

Michael, I built one for a friend in Maine last year. They fight the fish from the holder, 130 lb rod. bent butt, Aftco super bigfoot rollers, aftco swivel tip. They lock the rod into the holder and fight the fish with the boat. lol. I understand they can be hard on equipment, the boat, and you. Good luck! Here's a pic.
