When you use a bushing to aply a real seat you are left with just two areas that touch the real seat. So my question is do you just apply epoxy to the bushings or do you try and fill the void some how??

I just tried it again with a larger second ring and gained a 1/8". I now have 3/8" clearance using a 20mm stripper 16mm bumper and 16mm second. The rest are 12mm.amount of line from blank clearance you guys are trying to achieve. I can play with different size guides to gain more but where does it end??
Thanks for the help!

That being said, once you make the turn to the under side could you use a single foot up to a certain pound class rod??

With the use of a spiral wrapped trolling rod of 30-50lb class would it not be safe to say that you can disregard all logic of guides tapering as they near the tip and use as large as you need for leader clearance? Also I am using turbo guides but was going to use a (standard) double foot guide for my bumper. Do I need to use the turbo for a bumper as well?
Thanks for your help!!

147. Rod refinish
A friend gave me 4 old fiberglass rods to practice on before I try to build my first stand-up. Most of the rods are white and have lost all the shine. I read Toms article on redoing old rods and he said to use Permagloss. On the white rods that I have, are they white just on the outside or white throughout? I would think that the sanding would not remove any white to expose another color.
