Sorry for asking such a dumb question but I dont wanna get caught in the old "language trip me up barrier" again When you talk about CA glue are you talking about Cyanoacrylate (just a generic name for cyanoacrylate based fast-acting glues such as loctite super glue) Basically the stuff that sticks anything to anything and really only sets when pressure is applied to remove the air O

Could it be that your finish is actually the contaminate? Has that got some sort of silicon into it somewhere? Are you using surgical syringes to measure you finish out ? Have you tried just mixing some and pouring a small amount out onto a new piece of tin foil (like that it will definatly prove finish/ mixing is the problem if it still fish eyes if not then its after mixing and eiter in th

What you do is take the remote cotrol for the telly AND OR the controllers for the kids WII system Bury them on your desk sit back and wait Within an HOUR its spotless as wifey comes in looking for remote gets told its on you desk somewhere hey presto she cleans it. kids moan about no hand controls tell em its "on the desk" they help clean u

240 to 320 grit seems to work the best for "final finishing" go careful through I find that these grits cut faster than 120 grit Dont bother going up higher than 320 you just end up "glossing "the grip which is no good

Normal glitter REALLY grind it up in a pestle and morter until its like DUST Absolutly wicked finish and about a quarter the price This is airbrushable as well (its basically a smaller scale of the micro gitters)

I would go for at least twice the diameter as a ferrule wap to prevent split out Nothing worse than that Allen

just thin the epoxy with HEAT DO NOT THIN WITH chemicals apart from that just clean the area and bang it on You may want to slightly scuff the area to give it a water break surface but not essential

why because the fingersw are more sensitive than the palm by uplocking the seat will sit in the palm leaving your fingers to "feel" the rod... by downlocking you will only feel MAJOR vibrations through the extra part of the plate At least thats what I was told years ago by a builder and it seems to be true PLUS if uplocking if it comes loose then the reel is "pulled"into t

Try one of the automotive cleaner waxes. If this works nicely strip the rod. use the wax cleaner then wash it well in denatured alcohol. the cleaner wax ( try your nearest valet bay or detailers shop they may GIVE you a small bottle free) has a slight "cutting action" that will cut through any oxidization and light scratchest BEWARE though when you rewrap it be SURE to use cp to ma

When that sort of thing happened to me I found that a quick underwrap epoxyed then wrap over that Then I found a "hot finish" used for model aircraft engine bays (fuel resistant etc) hard as nails but flexible too appied with a foam brush

My advice Buy a load of cheap stuff closeouts etc Build them rip them up rebuild them Practice your techniques and stuff first Then when you feel confident and you will by then have an understanding of what you want buy then build Biggest thing to learn is take your time and dont rush things Just because for instance epoxy says "dry in five minutes" read it carefully and it actuall

mmm werè back to different people and the speech barrier thing again. Over here in the UK so called "micro guides" as have already been pointed out are used predominently on freshwater match rods ( used for fish wieghing very light and sizewise about a thumb long) We dont tend to use them on surf rods as there seems to be a hardcore element of fishermen over here that hate change a

yes tom I have tried it It gives a even LOOKING spacing but the maths just doesn`t add up to close a pattern up where it would need say 48 threads to close at the butt it only needs like 32 at the tip so to close it doesn`t seem to want to go
