JAMES Mock it up and let him test it (cast under load etc) If he still doesn`t like it do it the way he wants Be sure to explain WHY you have mocked in in a certain way. Why you only used eight guides. Why you put the reel seat where it is. Why you measure the diametre of his hnad hold . After all that if he understands what your saying you get your way if not then try again and in as many w

matte thats the stuff we get in the kits over here Just make sure you have the right paper settings for your printer AND LET THEM DRY FOR AT LEAST TWO FULL DAYS otherwise the krylon "melts" the ink and it bleeds

enough is when you have enough guides to kepp the line following a nice arc copy of the rod but not so many as to unbalance the rod at the tip end Mock it up dry test it then strap a spool of thread to the front of it ( that allows for the weight of thread epoxy etc) if its out of balance try jigging the guides about a bit

Depends really what sort of decal you want to print.. If you want just text in a plain font, any word proccessing software If however you want graphics then go for something like serif`s page plus If you are going to use clipart or vector clipart (EPS files and such like) the adobes illistrator or (at a push )photoshop My recomendation would be adobes illistrator as you can do more with it AN

I would go with the pac bay eliminator jnr or the stuarts both work well under load (IMHO look better too) save the money stick it in with a stuart tuffbutt or their bent butt or short straight and you got a very nice rod

Sand a piece of cork down mix with PVA glue to a THICK paste and "paste" it into the gaps when dry sand it down if you use the same cork as you did for the grip (CATCH THE SANDING DUST AS YOU DO IT) then you have basically all the same material no visable joins or fissures (and yes it does hold up in water when dry and yes it does take stain or oil the pva glue is just a binder) Cabina

iF YOUR GOING TO FILE IT DONT FILE ROUND THE CONTOUR OF THE BLANK FILE IT IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION so as you look end on to the blank and you see a circle going anticlockwise try ond rock the file as if you are filing a upside down clockwise If you look here it should explain it a bit better Like this you keep the shape of what you are filing rather than "ovaling it out"

the stuff that you get when you stick your fingers together normally works if not soak a rag in BOILING water and wrap it round the spot for five minutes then scrape it off (time consuming but eventually will work)

when you put pic onto computer just hover the mouse over it and it will give you dimensions (it will probably be 2400 X 3000 ) like tom says use the lower setting 600x600 is ok or you can resize the picture> Also make sure its the right format Jpeg etc

Can I use epoxy to stick the inlay in then "roll over the inlay to "bed it" wipe off the excess and then bind with masking tape until dry Or will it just split out? Reason i ask is rubber cement "evo stick" is flexible but when the grip is on the rod and glued with epoxy it only just compresses with no flex so I`m wondering in the advantage of rubber cement Grip has t

LOL maybe we should "invent" an international rod building langusge then then wouldn`t be any confusion Mind you saying that when you talk with billy and your half asleep it seems like he talks riddles ( in out up down +1 - 2 band 4 etc ) then you wake up and it all makes sense

Tom I read somewhere once that you could "sand" the finish off a dark blank down to the grey primer coat and wrap on that. When you cover with epoxy then it reseals the rod. Is this correct or is it duff imformation Cheers Allen
