I just discovered an easy way to clean up all the little thread bits that pile up around the rod wrapper----------A piece of masking tape will pick um up pronto, just dab em up to the sticky. Works great and takes no time. Old news? Re: Rod Wrapper Mess

Hillire,
Another good thing to keep in the shop is a good vacuum with a few different style brushes. A good floor brush works great for the floor and things that drop. Then, a nice soft bristle brush for the vacuum to clean up around the table and wrapper. Finally, a long skinny nozzle, to get back into the corners and cracks where things always find themselves. Good luck Roger Re: Rod Wrapper Mess

A good tip is always welcomed. BTW I bought another vacuum small brush assortment at Harbour Freight (after I set my old nozzle adapter down and could not find it for a week) which has a three foot or so flexible about 1/2 to 5/8 inch hose. Many times I will use a mini vacuum brush to clean dust off of wood turnings, cork handles etc. The flex hose is very handy and the price was good. Much easier to get into tight places and you don't suck up everything within a couple of inches. Re: Rod Wrapper Mess

One of those sticky, hair picker upper rolly things works as well. Re: Rod Wrapper Mess

I got a much better way of cleaning it...
What you do is take the remote cotrol for the telly AND OR the controllers for the kids WII system Bury them on your desk sit back and wait Within an HOUR its spotless as wifey comes in looking for remote gets told its on you desk somewhere hey presto she cleans it. kids moan about no hand controls tell em its "on the desk" they help clean up BRILLIANT or what Re: Rod Wrapper Mess

I would say daring! I`m not too sure about brillant. How many rods do you think you will be able to build once your wife reads this thread??
