I also agree with Billy, I have built over a dozen of the Hercules series rods and never had a problem ( these rods are fished just about everyday) very pleased with SEEKER

I have built a few inshore lites for people fishing for blacks and fish with the same blank myself...really like the feel and plenty of power to get them out of the rocks or wrecks....

I would warm it up (being very careful not to hot) and take a piece of plexiglass and break a piece off and use the sharp edge to kind of scrape the glue off.....being careful not to hurt the finish...

If you are going to use the rod for HD trolling I would use a SLICK BUTT so the rod holder doesn't destroy the handle..........

Hello Billy On a surf rod that I have the guide is 50mm ( from foot to top of guide is 77.12mm ) the blank is 23.73mm..total is 100.85mm or about 4" (bottom of blank to top of guide) hope that helps Harry

I took the rollers from the pack bay thread carraige, and the one roller in the back that i use for support came from a slidding door......

I wouldn't go with micro's , your going to have problems with leader knots, found this out the hard way on a ACID wrapped JAWS jigging blank out on a cod trip...

One of my customers I built some rods for was in Greece and found a piece of drift wood in the Aegean Sea while fishing in the shape of a pistol grip fishing rod handle and wants me to build him an ultra lite rod with that piece of wood for the handle....what would you coat the wood with to seal in the natural drift wood color and protect it?
