When I put dots it's one coat finish, then the dot and another coat of finish (otherwhise the ink can blend in the thread).

Buy KL20H, KL10, KL5.5M then KT4 (or KT4.5) thru tip (buy 6). You'll have all in hands to build a nice rod.

For Prokote High build set faster and it seems harder. Regular has longer pot life. And penetrate thread better. It also seems High build is more tolerant (with regular you need to be precise 50/50 and mix well, for me at ,easy 3 minutes, 4 better). The too work very well for me.

I'm with Michael. Be very precise with proportion and mix at leeast 3mm (4mm is safer). Very clear and softer than others. Soak thread very well. Didn't like flaming (but it's not necessary as it is bubble free). Take time to dry but you have a long pot live (at least half on an hour). Very Nice product. Revue based on the regular (medium but for me it's a lite). The High build dry fast

No need for the KL6M use just KL16H, KL8H and then a KL5.5M (not a KL5.5M). Or If you dont want to order an KL5.5M then try without the KL5.5 (and use your KL6M instead).

That was not realy easy as the paint is hard and a little thick. I use à razor blade at 90° and use it as a scrapper. You need caution and some time. But result is fine. I think warranty is lost (but it's a rod for me). Note that by only stripping finish to first guide (from tip to stripper) blank loose 10% of his weight ;-)

Just use this caps on your bottles and leave seringues in after use (just flip down the bottle to fill the seringue). No mess, all stay together, no need to search for and no cleaning.

I like shortest wrap, one to three turn and I'm on the guide foot. I'm with Roger, wrap on the blank desserve no purpose (aesthetic aside).

Guide Glue ( I use Fuji Glue in red stick) let you to move guide after wrapping. You just need to use very little Glue, Heat the foot, make one passe on the stick, heat again briefly and put it in place, you're done.

Prokote need exact (very accurate) mesuring, it's what I found. I always microwave it for 5 second before mesuring and mixing. And I always mix it for 4 minutes (yes it's long). And it like a warm place to set. Othervise on some case it didn't set. But i like it a lot.

I use Minima 4 Match guides for the reduction train on light Spinning rod (drop shot rods). Same concept as Fuji KR concept before KL High become available.

The black are (now) only available on the heavy duty Serie (RSFX). May be this is the reason as the noiser are the light serie. I don't like the light serie (but for annother technical reason). I only use single foot so can't comment on the snake.

The DS821 is very good (the Batson too). For this application KL16H, KL8H, KL5.5M then KT4 thru tip. And keep handle short.

What line do you will be using ? For me your guide size sélection is on the heavy side. KLH 16, KLH8, KLM 5.5 and KT4 running will be better. No need to use KB on this rod KT are strong enough.

ProKote has the best pot life (and is longer to be tack free and dry).
