Mychael, I can tell you what use if that will help. I use a 12 and 10 double foot, an 8 single foot and the rest 6 single foot and 6 tip top. I find that sooner or later, the customer will use it for frogging or flipping, etc. and may use a knot from main line to leader - therefore the 6's help it pass better. I use many RodGeek blanks for builds - I consider them every bit as good as the SC as even though they are mfg in Mexico (Still North America) they are built with SC recipes. The price point is a winner for my Bass market and have never had a problem. Don't be afraid of these!

I'm in the process of changing all my spinning rods to the Microwave system; they're that good. I find them sturdy and have caught Largemouth, smallmouth, stripers and hybrid up to 25#. The stripper guide stands tall so caution must be taken about stepping on them.

Many bass fisherman I know still use pistol grip rods for close cover spinner bait fishing. I agree with the 5 to 6 foot rod length, Medium with fast tip. Good luck
