Matched Outfits

Great article in RodMaker magazine Volume 14, Issue 4. For most of my spec/display rods, I try to match reel to rod. It really helps to sell the overall product. Of course, a $170 Quantum reel not being used is an expensive prop, but I find it to be worth it. I posted several pictures including use of the components shown in the sidebar in the article.

Is it just me or an optical illusion - looks like the reel is on backwards?

Thanks. Reel on correct - had another comment on that. What you are seeing is the split grip portion of the rod and the exposed blank at the handle. Re: Matched Outfits
