Kirk; Your E-Mail address is hidden or I would have sent you E-Mail. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Some color change weave patterns take longer to develop than it does to weave them by a bunch. I have one pattern that has 300 plus design threads and over 300 wraps. Just take your time and enjoy the process.

The foam used on the Wonder Weaver has been changed to a tougher material. Many who have used the older material have done so with no trouble, however a few did, so we made a change. In doing that a good deal of time and testing had to go into the change.
When doing patterns that don't require moving individual threads back and forth a number of times there isn't much of a problem. Howev

John; The Wonder Weaver is no more or less complicated than any other weaving device. It differs in the fact that it will allow you weave on any axis you wish and do multiple patterns at the same time as long as you have the blank circumference to accommodate them. You are able to weave a design on one axis and initials on the opposite axis if you wish, at the same time. The principle is th

Daniel; Maybe I can help you. First of all is it multi color or color change weaving that you want to do? Multi color is a single layer of thread just like a silhouette but in bands of different color. Color change on the other hand stacks different colors one on top of the other. They are put on the rod in the same fashion as the silhouette but in layers so that thread number ten red (for e

Jim Lee's program is still usable. I was informed last week that one of the newer windows programs will now let you use and print with it. Getting the the program to recognize a printer was one of the problems and when printers went to USB ports the program didn't recognize them or something like that.
The program Mike is talking about is one that I have heard about but have never tried.

Jim; If you try the pcstitch program you can use any font in your computer. Use your "Print Screen" function take it into paint and print it. Then make your left list.

Floyd; Why don't you go ahead and try pcstitch. You can do so for free and if you like it then you can buy. It will not let you print anything unless you buy but you are able to play with the rest of the program. The nice thing about it is you can scan an image into your computer and then take it into pcstitch and build your pattern. there is a place that will allow you to pick the number of

Michael; I would suggest that you contact one of the sponsors on the left here and get a copy of Doc Ski's weaving video. Or as Tom suggests get the back issues of RodMaker Magazine with the basic weaving articles in them.

The blank fits into the Gimbel. You may need to shim the blank in the same fashion you do the reel seat. That's the last thing I do so I am able to chuck the blank in the lathe without marring anything.

771. Re: Thread
Rick; If what you are talking about has different colors that start and stop along the length of the thread it's a variegated thread. If it's an old spool you may not be able to get it anymore. However if you will go to one of the web sites mentioned above and then to the thread section many of them have a chart that will show you what threads are available.

It's working for me but if you aren't using DSL the download may take some time. I know that Hiro has been busy and hasn't had the time to play on the computer but nothing has changed so far as the web site goes. The address given above is correct and should work.

774. Re: Weaving letters
Stan; Using a thread as large a "D" for your wrapping thread with "A" for the design will for sure bury single overlays of the design thread. You will do better to use "A" over "B" or "C". I use from 6 to 8 ounces of tension on the wrapping thread. The other thing you want to be aware of is that you are going to be better off with your design
