I am VERY familiar with the sp 842 /843 /844 blanks for the last 30 years - made a many of them myself. Good recommendation - will check out the seeker blanks and maybe try and do a mix on both - hate let anything that good in both areas slip by anymore, aint getting any younger ! thanks so much gentlemen!

Hi Guys - got a question - I used to purchase a black pigment from Clemens business in Allentown Pa years ago and have not been able to find anything near as good. I have heard of some of you using Testor's paints and such - but this stuff was like a thinned out or thick paint that you put on with a rag, much like shoe polish and it just plain worked like paint. Hi Ya'll - got a quick question - I have done a few heart wraps in the past, but that was a long time ago! Now I have to do two for a guy and his gal - My problem is every time I do the wrap out of Advanced Rod Techniques by Dale Clemens, it dont look very much like a heart - it is elongated - after five tries I have gotten a little frustrated. any help would be appreciated thanks

Hey Guys - I am putting a 5 weight graphite - forecast? - flyrod together - got all my parts and pieces and the reel seat has a cherry wood insert with the metal components. Seems the wood insert is a little long and I cannot glue in the metal cap for the end? What can I use to shave 1/8th off of the wood insert to make it fit and not CRACK the wood insert? File, dremel tool, sander ???
