Hi Guys - got a question - I used to purchase a black pigment from Clemens business in Allentown Pa years ago and have not been able to find anything near as good. I have heard of some of you using Testor's paints and such - but this stuff was like a thinned out or thick paint that you put on with a rag, much like shoe polish and it just plain worked like paint. It was i believe urethane based at best. Any suggestions on a replacement product ? Or best practices?

TAP pigments have been recommended and I have used them and others to tint PermaGloss. I generally just wipe the tinted PG on in one long, smooth stroke, flip the blank 180 degrees and hit the other side the same way. About 2, maybe 3 coats at the outside, and I'm done.

Alsa Corp in California makes the Killer Can line of paints that are excellent for this purpose. No mixing or spray guns needed. Not cheap, but the best solution.
