My friend has a american power wrapper that he got used the rod walks out of the deluxe chuck and some times pulls the rubber jaw feet out of chuck with the blank. He has looked at the one I have to see if anything was different can't see any thing. He has got new rubber feet for it and that didn't help.

so that the bubble problem doesn't happen again I put 3 or more coats of color preserver on cross wraps to get the bubbles out before the epoxy. the rod sound damaged in a spot that I believe gets a lot of pressure .in the forum library there is a page on repairing broken rods you might try one and hide it with a new cross wrap.

I don't know if this will help but when you tighten the bit in the chuck you need to tighten at all three locations in the chuck to put equel pressure to make the bit straight.

I have not put the eyes on yet but the reel seat has a nice shape to it where your trigger finger fit around to the sides my hand and finger are large and they fit. this is my first blanked expose seat so I have nothing to compare to in blank exposed .I used the palm support and liked then alot.Jim let us know what FUJI says

I Just put one on a blank the other day.Just went down to my work area to compare to other reel seats.tthe only thing I could see was the trigger had more of a curve in it compared to another Fuji trigger reel seat that i put side by side. went back down a second time with a machist square and it looks like the triggger is 7 degree off of being at a 90 degree angle.

People on charter and party boats don't take care of equipment like the people that own it. The mud hole value eglass that kevin post would be a good blank or a soild glass like tom said..I repair a lot of rods for a fleet of party boats that fish the delaware bay out of Lewes delaware .
