I know what you are speaking of, Joe. But it's not the case, the most likely. As I understood, Karen can send and receive (if only from time to time) messages from and to my box in .RU domain, and can not to do it when I use a Hotmail.com account

Thanks, Tom. Surpisingly, I just got a message from Karen. Unless this board, there was probably no other way to let her know...

Earl, However, I think you'd better check your machine, once such abnormal behavior of browser occured. You can try free utility called SDFix which I myself found to be very useful for such purposes:

Not Custom Built. I'm not agree with you, Jay. IMHO, no one factory made rod can be close in terms of quality to an individually built one. At factories, they never pay (and will never p

Tom, Our local Fuji distributor got the stuff from them back in December... And the most of the guides are slightly pre-grinded, not only Alconites but SiCs too. And Alconites have a bit more glossy

Jean, I also live outside US, and had experienced the same problem several times. The easiest way to solve it once and forever is getting a mailbox at Hotmail.com. It's free and you messages will reach American recipients...

Marco, I'm from Russia, and this site, Rodbuilding.Org, is one and the only reason I started to build rods by myself 4 years ago. And I think that it's great and right that nobody here make a difference, where you are from. However, rod building and fishing generally is the kind of madness :) that has no borders. Am I right?

John, Anyway, the info you posted is interesting, IMHO. But as to me personally, I'm a little bit disappointed... Just because I did like (and still do) "original" Shikari's, I expected that ATC blanks will be as close to "originals" as possible. But, from what I red in this thread, I found out that, since original mandrels still are in OK, I couldn't expect that ATC blanks

Shawn, are you sure? Though, looking over ATC PDF catalog I noticed that the declared weight of some models I know since they were Shikari's is somewhat higher...

Spencer, I think Talon rods and blanks are now the most known in Russia, no tricks. We have a very active Talon dealer here and much larger choice of rods and blanks (but blanks are mostly available on a special order basis) than I ever saw somewhere on American or Canadian sites, even on Talon's webpage itself :-)

Chad, Don't wait too long (LOL) ...Seriously, I'm with Patrick: Dave has done a really nice job. If I didn't knew for sure, I'd scarcely think that the rod on the photos is a very first one. Dave Keep on rockin' the way you started :-)

Like Stan, I usually wait for 2-3 days before PG almost stops smell at all. A couple of times applied 2-part finish over it next day without having any problems, though...

Can anybody tell me: what kind of decals are used on G.Loomis factory RODS (not blanks)? Are they peel-n-stick, rub-off or anything else? Merry Christmas to all :-)

Just my 0.02 I'm with Emory. Upsizing the top on lighter rods may affect rod performance. And not the way you like. IMHO
