anyone use the Madeira glow nylon thread. Is it good for rod building, I think it comes 50wt. I would like to try it on a Heaver that I am going to build next but would like to know if its like the Madeira thread being use for heavy surf rods and saltwater rods. Does it really glow at night. If it does and it is a good thread I might give it a try.

1st question. when doing decorative wraps how much thread tension or should I say how tight should I be pulling the thread when I go up and down the rod? 2nd question. I hope this aint a stupid question, but how do you use the madiera spool thread 40wt when doing decorative wraps. does it attach to the rodsmith wrapper thread carriage. the madiera spool is huge so how can you do butt wraps with it or is the spool more for guide wraps.

I looked all over the net and even GUSA website and could not find these ulua rod blanks. supposely they made a special run on these 13' 2piece ulua surf rod blanks for the Hawaii market. Billy Vivona posted a reply to the thread but I looked in the catalog and doesnt list these blanks. can someone point me in the right direction as to how i can get info or get these blanks. .............

Can anyone recommend a 13ft or little longer, needs to be 2 piece very stiff blank that only bends in the upper portion of the rod and can throw 9-10oz N bait If I have to, with no problem. I need this blank to be very very stiff, XXheavy action.
