acid rods jaws rod I'm making 7'6 for channel cat and for blue cat fishing. they do have 8' and 9' they quit making the rod I like ot use so I got in to making my own + we catfish alot of tournament

I polish all my rod i like the look and pro tec I use 3m rubbing compound then meguiars polish per-waxing glaze then I use wet looking wax

me to I will not give up my power pro I like filling my reel 80 % Mon 10% because you may only use max of 50 ft that way the spool lasts for 10 tournament on sizes desponds on what you are fishing if I'm fishing frog over mats of grass laley pads I like 50 to 80 flipping too crank baits I open water ledges 10 to 20 strucker I like 20 to 30 cat fishing I like 80

I'm a big walleye fisherman, I wanted something that would handle planer broads and clip waits but can handle a fin shad at .5 to 5 mph some little baydanock I like using St. Croix surf blank 2srs100m2 and nanolite ring so it could handle lead core I ran 6 colors

I got a mixer and metal mixer moves a bit but still rotates I found if you don't clean metal mixer sticks and just go around and it take just a little bit

st.croix has a carp rod but it's 9' but i think that you can cut it down 3cs96mmf2 it is mf rod most carp rods lonley have 6 eyes + tip but it is 150.00

I use west system epoxy you can put it on in two layers then sand, I start at 320 go to1200 then I tape up stuff paint it then gloss then get deep glossy look

I let it set up for over night or 24 hr this is all I use there isn't anying better I think but there is good drection on the pack but I keep my rod bluiding area at 70 degees its a good around degees ot keep it at

I havn't use alot of lamiglas but you parble using top water frogs buzz baits snooks and being money frogs you mite want to fish for snake heads but the blank I likerx8+c865 batson my father lives in fort myers fl he likes it for red and snooke

got to seal the cor with epoxy let setup then wet the cor sow win you put the carbon seleve on the cor sokes though the carbon then I put a little bit because I am using the heaver carbon then you put shrink tubing on or saran warp need to do same to make them look good it took me acupple but there are good dierction on riley rods .com

phil what I did is to measre 1.5" on the roll and taped it off with painters tape and cut it with a shap raver blade

thank you that help alot I tryed wet down with the saran warp that was "great" , mike the brush was a big help I went to a art store and got flat brush stiff brisle that way I didn't get on bubbles I didn't need heat to the bubbles I did two with the new ideas that turned out asome!!!!!!!! thank you all
