It looks like a super product with the palm swell that is missing on most reel seats.
The design is such that it looks like it would work well either as an uplocking or down locking

Bill, do you often build casting reel seats without a trigger reel seat? You mention that it would work as a casting reel seat. I made the mistake of building a nice heavy action casting rod with a nice heavy spinning reel seat with no trigger, and I had to cut it off a year later to put a trigger seat on the rod. I just was never comfortable without a trigger on this casting rod.

It would be great on the part of Mud hole to have another version made of this reel seat with a trigger as part of the design for those casting rod needs.

Will have to get a few of these reel seats. Great design and execution in manufacture.

Take care
Roger

I would have to pick a seat up put a reel on and see how it feels But looking at the curves on it it may work ??

I like the design but , with the picture I got in the e-mail, in the uplock position it looks like your palm would ride on the threads. It also looks like it has a lot of threads. I would have to position it in the uplock, but wonder about the shape of the hump in that position. Would love to have one in hand without buying one. I am just starting a spinning rod that I was going to use an Aero seat on, may have to get a Raptor to answer those questions.

I do love those Areo seats. The raptor with its shape is similar, with more "bling factor". Just have some questions about it.
