Ready to epoxy guides?

i am ready to epoxy the #3 micros on my poppin rod, I want teh first coat to be thin,? is. What would be the tool to use for a thin coat? I was thinking a brush if i wipe most of it off, but then again teh spatula would spread it much thinner, well i guess i just answered my own ?, which is spread it thin, any suggestions will help. Thin and with a brush. Cut out 1/2 the bristle's from the brush if you need too.

You really r on target, i just done that, I figured if it didn't work then I will know next time, I have a short kinda stiff brush it worked really well! But Thanks anyways. maybe someone will read this that don't know what to do. Re: Ready to epoxy guides?

For a thinner application, use a stiffer brush.

Also mix a small fresh batch of finish and apply as soon as mixed. The difference in thickness between a freshly mixed batch and a batch that has set for 3 or 4 minutes can often be 2:1. Work on the smallest micros first with the fresh thin stiff brush and you will be in good shape. The key thing is to apply the finish quickly and then quickly move to the next guide. You should be only spending 5-10- seconds per guide. So you should be able to do several guides per minute. That keeps the fresh finish thin if it has not been sitting around.
