Kinda samething here, i took some 1x4 boards and cut them to triangle, 45 degree. Then took a plastic tube and put some foam in it, glued it to the wood triangles ,cut slits in the foam to put rod in. But i think the eod will still turn when i put weight on the rod when loading it. But will have try it out to make sure. Then figure out how to secure the rod in the tube.

36. Re: Shade space
Ok,but im concerned about how much space i have to shade, like say i do 7 or 8 passes, then i would have only that many passes do do the shade. Like the spider deco, the spider part in the middle of the deco. Would only be like2or 2.5 mm to do the shade, 7 or 8 passes. How would i go about that? Maybe do like a 12 pass spacing? But the rod is a med heavy blank. And that many passes would be over k

37. Shade space
I am looking at wrapping a spider wrap, and want to shade or fade some colors, so on the spacing chart it got 5 passes up to 12 passes. So if i am going to shade, would i need to have say like 10 passes, instead of like 6 or 7 passes on my spider wrap, to have enough room for a decent fade or shade?

I had traveled with my 7'6" rods like a 100 miles, I put them in the front passenger seat all the way to corner of the floor to the corner of the back window, they had a little bend in them but they stayed fine to we got there, and of course you could have some hang out the window. Have a nice trip, I hope someday I can do the same.

I am just wondering about the 180 turn on the epoxied wraps, to get a level finish on the wraps, does that apply on the long deco wraps? I really don't have that much patience to sit and turn the rod the on the 180 degree turns, for like 2hrs, but does it do nice even job on them long deco wraps? I know it does on the guide wraps. Just wondering.

I need to find a decal, it would be a christian fish decal if you know what I am talking about, about 3/4" long or so, if anyone knows where I can buy one, I sure would greatly appreciate it, I have an order for a rod from the Church I go to, and I told him I would try to see if I can get one put on his rod. Thanks!

I would think those colors are to close to each other if you know what I mean, to make it really pop, but I would write Billy V, they say he's the man to talk to about the colors, contasting to make it pop, hope you find that pop in your threads, took me a couple of times to find out colors that i wanted to make it pop out. Hvae a good one.

I just got done sanding with the 3000 wet then the 5000 wet, it did make it look smoother then wiped it down then I put another coat of try oil, and wiped off the excess, so far its looking really good, altogether it has been 6 coats, maybe 7, lost count. I still those tiny dimples like holes, I might go another coat to see is they go away. Merry Christmas Holiday season!
