Staying with the X-Fast tip that you’re looking for, from RainShadow we’d recommend the Immortal IMMC73HXF ( ) or the Revelation REVC72H ( ) Though one of our guys here prefers a little slow tip when fishing top water, letting the rod load up a bit more. If you want that direction then the Immortal IMMP70H ( ) and Revelation REVIP70H ( ). Of course everyone has different preferences when f

The Unity rod blanks are completely new designs, not based on the old RX6 fly blanks, with the same/similar materials. So a comparison isn't exact, they do fit the same applications and are a hair slower in action.

For ALPS casting TexTouch and MVT you’ll want to go with a 13.5 – always want it as exact as you can. If their a hair too small to slide where you want it then you can ream it out a little bit. Do you like split spin seats? Both our ALPS and ForeCast lines have them. As mentioned for transmitting the sensitivity from the blank to hand a foam core with raw carbon fiber would be among the best – if you must

Just throwing it out there but here at Batson Enterprises we redeveloped out ForeCast Carbon Fiber grips and came out with quite a few new shapes (including a few fly) - If they don't pass our inspection then it won't make it out the door to the end user.
