We’d recommend our top-of-the-line Made in USA RainShadow ETERNITY ETEC72M - Our next best option would be the IMMORTAL Series IMMC72M, truly high-end blanks at a great price - ETERNITY model would be a little lighter in the tip when compared to the IMMORTAL, but you can’t go wrong with either. If you wanted shorter for an underhand style casing go with the 68M in either the ETERNI

Our Rainshadow lineup has a variety of Dropshot options, though most are XF or F. If you want a USA Made Rod Blank go with our highest end Eternity series ETES610MXF - Our Immortal lineup is a truly high performance at a great price. IMMS610MXF and MMS72ML - Then there’s a Revelation lineup which are a staple for custom Bass rods. REVS610MLXF and REVS610MXF - There has never been a

David, We haven't had any reported issues on the ID of the MVT or any of the ALPS reel seats. Did you check that number that's stamped inside the seat in the cutout underneath? If not, then my guess would be it was miss picked or the label on the bag (assuming there is) is wrong when compared to the number stamped inside. Basically for the different ID's, it's manufactured with a Pin that'

Hi Scott, So the color is from a PVD coating over the zirconium ring which is the same process that's been used on ALPS and ForeCast rings for a long time. In the 4+ years I've personally been at the company I've never seen any come back because of fading or wearing down.

From our RainShadow lineup we’d go with these three choices. RCKJB700-250 - RCLB70L - JDGLB70L – USA made blank, it’s awesome but pricier - All three models are highly popular in California for similar styles of fishing.

From our RainShadow lineup we’d go with the RX4 BP1024 (specs: ), it’s a 2-piece so easy to transport and break down while in a kayak. You could go with crankbait blanks but honestly feel like it’s splitting hairs, so go with what’s designed for those applications.
